Temoc’s Closet provides UT Dallas students with free clothing, shoes, accessories, hygiene products and more. The goal is to assist in easing the financial burden of college as well as supporting students’ career readiness.
Students may use this resource to prepare for career related opportunities, recover from the loss of clothing due to extreme events, adapt to changes brought about by pregnancy and birth and more. Temoc’s Closet is generously supported by donations from members of the Comet community (students, staff, faculty and alumni) as well community members and local businesses.
The Basic Needs Resource Center strives to offer a wide range of sizes and styles of clothing in a judgement-free environment. The BNRC is committed to ensuring students have access to free attire and hygiene products, so they are successful during their time at UT Dallas and beyond.

Hours: Temoc’s Closet is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Location: The closet is located inside of the Basic Needs Resource Center, SSB 4.300.
No Appointment Needed: There is no appointment needed to utilize Temoc’s Closet.
Cost: Temoc’s Closet is open and free to currently enrolled students.

Visiting Temoc’s Closet
Plan ahead. If you are interested in visiting the closet for a specific kind of clothing item, especially professional attire, we recommend visiting well before you need it. We cannot guarantee the availability of any specific clothing or size.
Measure yourself ahead of time. We do not measure or size visitors. The closet does have sizing charts for your reference. Exact sizing will vary by the brand of clothing items donated.
Be respectful of the service. The purpose of this service is to assist those with gaps in their closet, not to provide last-minute items out of convenience. Please plan for your needs, especially those requiring professional attire.
Be respectful of the space. Students are responsible for reading and following the guidelines posted inside Temoc’s Closet. Students are expected to leave the closet in the same condition they found it.
First time visiting?
If it is your first time visiting Temoc’s Closet, please let the staff member at the front desk know. We’d be happy to give you a tour of the closet, show you what we have available, and how to best utilize the service! Be sure to grab one of our reusable tote bags to bring on your next trip.
How often can I visit?
At this time, there are no restrictions on how often you can visit or how many items you can take. For some hygiene products and similar items, signage may ask that you only take a given amount during your visit. We appreciate your cooperation, as this ensures that we will have enough of these items for future visitors.

What sizes are available?
Our goal is to provide Comets with clothing items of various styles and sizes. Please note that although we try to accommodate many, we cannot guarantee that you will find your size available. If you cannot find suitable clothing items for your needs, you are welcome to visit again later, as we continue to receive new donations throughout the year.
